Emerging Leaders

Becoming the team leader, instead of being ‘one of the team’, can often be a traumatic transition for anyone who elects to become a supervisor. Add to that the management of complex tasks or specialised staff and then the new leader must be even more sensitive to how they get things done through others.

At each level of management there are new tasks to learn and old tasks to delegate, but the question is always ‘Which ones?’ This course offers a model of management development, which will show learners how they must shift their emphasis as they develop as team leaders and managers. This course is designed to increase the confidence of new managers, through the introduction of sound management & leadership concepts, and the opportunity to practice new skills and discuss issues pertinent to the new role.
